Cakes Love Spice was founded in January 2023 by me Shelley, a passionate baker who received comprehensive training from the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school. What began as a cosy, independent baking venture in the serene neighbourhood of South East London has quickly grown into a beloved local business known for its unique blend of traditional flavours and Caribbean-inspired twists.

My journey in pastry and baking started at the tender age of seven when I first witnessed my mother and auntie creating delectable Trinidadian sweet bread and Jamaican black cake. This early exposure to baking taught me a deep appreciation for the power of flavours and the importance of quality ingredients.

At Cakes Love Spice, I combine my training and Caribbean heritage to create truly unique and unforgettable cakes. Each creation is a labour of love, featuring layers of rich, opulent buttercream, exotic fruit compotes, and a delicate hint of rum for those who appreciate indulgence.
